A multi-channel audio/video preview, playback, monitoring, and recording application for Windows. Manage video capture devices, cameras, microphones, Line In sources, and local media files from one clear and efficient interface.
Capture, playback, monitoring, and recording in one interface
HWS Player combines capture-device preview, local file playback, multi-channel management, audio monitoring, snapshots, and recording in a unified Windows application. It is designed for everyday monitoring as well as capture-card development, signal compatibility testing, A/V synchronization checks, product demonstrations, and technical validation.
Core Features
Multiple Input Types
Open video and audio devices together, or use video-only, audio-only, and local media sources. Suitable for cameras, capture cards, microphones, and Line In devices.
Independent Capture Settings
Resolution, frame rate, and color format are displayed separately and can be selected independently to match device capabilities and source signals.
Multi-View Preview
Choose 1-, 4-, 9-, or 16-view layouts. Switching layouts does not close channels that are already open, so every source remains active.
Audio Monitoring and Meters
Monitor audio from the selected channel and view real-time left/right levels to identify silence, single-channel audio, or abnormal levels quickly.
Media File Playback
Play common media formats and WebM files with transport controls, timeline seeking, full-screen display, and optional loop playback.
Snapshots and Recording
Capture snapshots, record audio and video, or perform audio-only recording for test evidence, issue reproduction, demonstrations, and archiving.
Save and Auto Load Configurations
Save channel, device, video, audio, and layout settings. Missing devices are skipped automatically while available matching sources are restored normally.
Fast Operation
Menus, context actions, keyboard shortcuts, channel cycling, and high-DPI support simplify daily multi-channel operation.
Reliable Channel Management
Channel state and display layout are managed independently. A source is stopped only when the user explicitly closes that channel.
Flexible Multi-View Layouts
Select the most suitable layout for the number of active sources. Each channel preserves the correct aspect ratio to minimize stretching and distortion.
A Clear and Efficient Workflow
